when I observe them trying
to get something out of nothing
out of non-existent situations
out of their own imaginations
they expect problems everywhere
that's their way to dread
chasing failure at every corner
of every street
how do they see themselves
when looking at their reflections
in past clumsy actions
how do they think of themselves
when the moment's come to judge
their very own meaning in this world
change is life and to live is to evolve
it's hard to accept but worth the try
that's an equation impossible to solve
